It's a Black metal thing. It's a large part of Black metal culture, especially in Norway. It has to do with being violently anti-Christian.

That's a separate issue though. What you feel doesn't change the fact that the female body is hypersexualized/objectified. That's the issue.
And just to clarify, I don't totally disagree. I like everyone having as much freedom as they want, but that doesn't mean it's good, yknow?
Now that in mind, maybe not. But does that mean anything for a woman? Is the freedom to be objectified by a male society really a positive?
The purpose of covering up (be it hijab or full niqab) is to promote modesty among other things. Women shouldn't be judged for their bodies
Does liberty mean respect or an escape from the patriarchy? I mean empowerment doesn't necessarily follow from freedom.
It shouldn't matter as long as it's their choice. There are people in both situations who have no choice or are forced to conform.
