Meh, IDC why should you.
Ever wonder why so many otherwise extremely smart people used to smoke? It's because along with all the health hazards... it worked. Especially well on people with ADD, but even on people with out it. High focus, sustained attention, & it even reduces mental fatigue somewhat. The military / brain trust organizations condoned and even accommodated it's use because it gave them soldiers and scientists that were more effective at what they did... even knowing it was killing them.

If memory serves, they counted only the laser input and power output, but not all the cooling and capacitor charge overhead. Still a big deal, but not anywhere near practical application... yet
