Self-employed artist. Major depression and PTSD survivor. I moved from Saltspring Island, B.C. Canada to Windsor Canada in December 2016. I was raised in the Alberta Rocky Mountains and is the inspiration for a lot of my work. My artistic influence is mostly from my mother, Carly Deschuymer who died when I was a teenager. My mother taught me the fundamentals of art through drawing and water colour painting. In 2009, while on Vancouver Island, I found my own expression. I started working with oil pastels and now I work in acrylic. My subject matter varies from landscapes, trees and forest scenes, as well as portraits. In 2009, I presented my first solo exhibit and in 2011 my second solo exhibit. My most current solo exhibit was in April 2016 at the Touchstones Museum in Nelson, B.C. I have also been part of several province wide art shows. I have exhibited internationally and my art is in many private collections throughout Canada and the United States. I won the Hildur Sherbeck award, awarded by the Alberta Community Art Club Association for my painting, 'Standing Alone'. I have been commissioned to do many portraits and landscapes.
