And probably broke when being removed. If your talking about the wires all sprayed out. Well that’s how those types of clamps “clamp” wires
So if your talking about the clamp. They have to remove that to change the alternator. Judging by the hold down, it was probably corroded.

Can confirm “Yoda’s lost there FUN”
Also press and hold trac. Button for 10 sec. light will come on then go out then come on again. “Almost” fully disengages the trac. Control.
Change the order you press the pedals. Brake first then gas. Overrides the throttle lockout. Takes a bit to get used to the order and timing

2/2 Plastic, no biggie, just make sure it's all the way in (all 3 metal tabs in place) it will also prevent water intrusion into the housing
++ also if it wasn't installed correctly it could have come into contact with the reflector (dome shaped shiny piece) it's only made of 1/2
2/2 A hot spot which can fatigue the glass causing premature failure. Also the cheap O bulbs are made with crappy plastic which can melt.
Just get a new bulb (and not the cheapest one you can find) and when installing do not touch the glass the oil from your fingers makes 1/2

As a Toyota tech this is very true. Not just that Tacoma about most of the gaskets look like this sometimes you get 2 limpies in on gasket.
