(1) It's a distraction, and (2) they're creating a small "out-group" with the intention of expanding that out-group later on. See also: Martin Niemoller.

Me either, I just drink coffee. But I understand that Monster Zero is low potassium, which is important for people on spironolactone because spiro is a potassium sparing diuretic and so people on it need to watch their potassium intake.

Life in Mass. is expensive and cold and a stressful PITA. FSM knows I've considered moving away a bunch of times to somewhere warmer and cheaper. But now that my egg has cracked it's probably one of the best places for me to be. :/

Glad it's working out so well for you. :)

#4 I aspire to this level of confidence. I don't know that I'll ever pass.

I should put a Trans Pride version on my range bag.

I would mostly be asking for the humor value. But I would feel kinda weird adopting the same name (actual or dead) as someone else in my (very extended) social group.

I ran into a trans man friend I haven't seen in a while at a party recently. I'm not out to friends yet but I was very tempted at the time to ask him "Hey can I borrow your deadname since you're not using it?" (It's a common one that's in the top ten for my age cohort.)

This was the first place I came out as trans, too.

Ain't no hate like Christian "love".

This is part of why I'm choosing to transition rather than remain in the closet. Out of spite.

Also, autogynephilia is a pseudoscientific, quack diagnosis that was used to gatekeep trans women out of transition services. It's as scientific as "Rapid onset gender dysphoria", i.e. not at all.

Which beats 1968 when they backed the Mulford Act.

Why of course I know her. She's me.

Not according to the current regime, they've made a couple of attempts now at disarming trans people.

Hi there.

I hear the high rate of ghosting is one of the worst things about dating as a trans woman. I'm sorry. *hugs* if you want 'em.

#26 So do I, that's why I'm transitioning and looking forward to second puberty at 60

The dildo of consequences rarely arrives lubed.

I was going to say, most of us call that a "condom". Unless we had a really weird grandparent knitting us a little cozy.

they've invented a whole lot of labels, too, that didn't exist when I was young. Genderfluid, nonbinary, genderqueer, agender, bigender, demigirl, demiboy, on and on. (and that's not anywhere near an exhaustive list!)

Born 1966, here. Always knew I was "different". Was aware as long ago as the '80s that trans people existed but at that time the definition of who was "trans" was very, very narrow--if you didn't recite the "I knew from a very young age that I was born in the wrong body" narrative verbatim, you weren't trans. And even then it was pretty close to being a diagnosis of exclusion, where they tried to diagnose your dysphoria as due to anything else (bipolar, depression, etc.) first.

One reason I chose to move forward with transition was to spite the haters. "I can do all things through spite, which strengthens me."
