I think a lot of Americans need to ask what is the point of a central government, and why did people go together in a group and create it? If the answer isn’t about security for the people living under the government, why have it? Security isn’t just about military, that is a part of it, but that is actually minor, it’s about people feeling safe in all situations in life. Lose your job? No problem the government will catch me. Same with healthcare, being able to retire, getting an education etc.

A million in Copenhagen will buy a nice medium house in a suburb, or a 100 m2 apartment in the city, nothing left over. Or yeah and property tax would be kinda high, so you need a decent income to pay for your fully paid apartment or house.

Convincing someone with logic is nearly impossible, once they have an opinion. What you do is have a heartfelt conversation, where you get then to explain their position, so you can ask questions. Those questions should go deeper and deeper till the fundament crack. You cannot do this over text, he gets the tine to dig in again, and nothing will chabge.
