We do not go to McDonalds and all the others like them. We do go to Culvers, they are based 25 miles from our home, Craig Culver gives back so much to the community, they buy meat etc from the USA. They seem to treat employees really well. The shops are owned by local people in that town or area (I think). Their food is excellent.
