The idea of "graduating" school is an odd one to me. In England we just quietly shuffled off to University.
Why?
London is where the vast majority of opportunities are in the UK, especially for certain fields (eg. Publishing). That's why rent is so high
I'm talking about commuting to work, not holidays.
Yeah no. Try living in London on minimum wage. Budget doesn't come into it. You don't earn enough money for rent, food and travel expenses.
Same deal in the UK. Especially in London - the minimum wage isn't close to being liveable.
Starvation and homelessness isn't the greatest motivator, I find.
A guy in the UK died recently when his benefits were stopped, and he couldn't keep the fridge he kept his insulin in running.
