Hello random stranger of the vast visual abyss that is Imgur! I can't say I've done much to tidy up the place, though I truly hope that you find this strange and seemingly intangible homestead is up to your expectations! Ah, but look at me talking about the profile and not the contents, blathering like a fool. Let me tell you a bit about myself! I am an avid writer, or a weaver of tales, telling of great deeds during both the unexplored and ever familiar times. Want to see the distant frozen tundra of the Fohssan wilds? Sure thing! Want to hear the intriguing and winding mysteries of a long-ahead dystopia? Just tell me, and I'll share it all for the sole purpose of entertaining you. My works have not become so well known as the published goods of other major authors, though provided you have a genuine interest, simply ask, but never offer with bribes of front-pageism, or internet up-points for my self esteem, since all I need to be happy is just your idle ear and a glass of water.

That lathe incident in particular comes to mind - let it be said that the victim was NOT wrapped around the spinning component in the actual incident.

Quite the opposite.

Looking back, I'm noticing that the enthusiasm Hobbs has for Calvin getting back from home is shockingly similar to both cats I grew up with. They're good about knowing, and they're always so very excited to see their best human come back.

For those of you reading: go find your animal and give them a real big hug c:

Fun fact - Banana spiders in the south will start jumping up and down to make their web MORE visible if they think you're at risk of walking through it.

For some time now, I've tried to commission artists to help with making not even really complex reference pictures, and without fail there's been some sort of issue conveying what is desired. So, I gave AI a try, and now I have a more than generous library of reference pictures to show artists and ensure there is no misunderstanding whenever I hire them for commissioned artwork!

I guess my qualm is that we've discussed this before, with Blackstone buying up properties as quickly as possible so that they can rent out the homes at rates that are still just as prohibitive as the current pricing to buy, which is also problematic in the sense that not only does this still lead to unaffordable homes, it also leads to people missing out on equity that comes from owning their homes rather than renting.

We've gone backwards, and we're now accepting something that is also bad?

I wonder if this poses a risk of backfiring, and prompting property owners to start buying up residential property for the purposes of renting it out rather than selling...

Which brings us back to the issue of home ownership being difficult to impossible, because everyone's buying to rent out rather than to live in.

As a Christian, it is my firm belief that religion can. not. be. forced.

It has to be something people naturally find their way into. They have to WANT to believe, and if they don't, is it really faith? Forcing people to believe, making them feel guilty for stepping back, is as counterproductive as it comes.

I think the worst part is that it's largely due to AI as it is today being a dead end - the possible output gains proportionate to the resources invested have flattened out, meaning there's no actual growth. They could've spent the money they had in researching a new launching point, but instead went all in on dead-end designs that will go nowhere satisfying.

MVP, thank you. I'm always looking for people like you, because Shazam always wonders where the hell I'm finding these tunes like I'm some weirdo or something.

Yeah, that's not really the realistic part. Your body with plates is pretty good about absorbing the kinetic force applied to less than half a pound of ballistics even with extroardinary muzzle velocity invested in shortening lifespans.

What follows, that being the full exchange between the numerous shooters, is usually what I refer to regarding realistic exchanges - even at some of the most seemingly "I can get them from here" ranges, most shooters miss. A lot.

Well, you had a solid chance at stirring about positive community relations, and blew it on the hopes that lies might slip on by. Not cool. I'm just a casual browser and now I'M upset at you. Like, damn bro, you really could've had it all...

I used to have a good broth mix, but the manufacturer went out of business, and now the broth mixes I've been getting don't have much flavor to them. What's the fix? Most of my slow cooked beef stew comes out flat, and I'm not sure if I need to add more salt, or something else to really make the flavor beefy.

The real MVP of the comments. Wish more folks would identify the music in these videos.

One of the smartest characters I've ever seen in a horror film. He had a better grasp of the situation, assessed the risks accordingly, and adopted the most practical (and realistic!) solution available at the time. Things only went sideways because it's REALLY difficult to get things down pat when your dance partner is an FTL-capable space vessel with attachment issues.

My only issue is that whenever I try the same, the response is usually "Because of those gosh dern democrats and their communist laws."

I'm shocked that nobody's discussing what this can REALLY enable - the activation and deployment of resources necessary for an operation on this scale are insanely close to the same resources needed to have military resources readily available to deploy and neutralize mission-critical resources in -ANY- developed country. Forget immigration and deportation, this much mobilization could enable rapid deployment against US military assets that might not 'see how things should be'.

Fantastic at finding beehives and hospitals.

Since you've seen it, could you provide some context to the scene used often in the meme? I know it's a 'realization moment' sort of thing, but what was the realization, and the elements leading up to it happening in this scene? Were they going somewhere? What did Cage suddenly realize that Pedro already knew?

The issue wasn't the requirement to link Steam and PSN accounts, it was that this requirement was never advertised, and the game was sold in regions where adhering to this process would get buyers banned from the game completely. Only months after outstanding success did Sony choose to tell countless players that they would be stripped of their right to use the game they paid money to access, and Sony accordingly updated their TOS to enforce this AFTER selling the product.

Last time I went hiking, I found bees. Angry bees. Really, it was more like THEY found ME, but the discovery was ultimately a less than fortunate arrangement.

Where does someone even find an email for famous persons? I wouldn't mind sending an email to like, Mark Hamill, or Bill Nye, maybe even Richard Dean Anderson, but I just can't figure out how.

I studied this case closely when it became a big topic of discussion. They not only chased him, they cornered him, and FORCED an encounter.

Fortunately I'm a bit too stubborn to consider such an approach. That said, thank you for the concern! A willingness to worry for even the vague possibility is often times a great help those who are truly struggling with such thoughts.
