Why are you here? What consortium of cosmic events and random variables brought you to this about section? Have a good day and cheer up, don't take things to seriously. Especially the very serious things, taking those too seriously can really get in the way of moving past them and onto other much more serious business.

No bystanders were injured, the single shot hit the intended person. That is somewhat more considered of an action compared to the general crazed MAGA people, they tend to be gun happy and self destructive - Trying for a target but also taking out others.
So this shooter is likely a rational individual, either doing this for a personal ideological reason or potentially even for money.

I don't think these rebate checks would be the cause of inflation because they are distinct from the stimulus checks in being funded by the tariff increases rather than deficit spending.

This is a bit of the case where they take taxes off you with one hand, give it back to you in the other and expect the credit for giving you money even though they increased the taxes in the first place to take it off you.

Regardless though, cost of living gonna go up from the other stuff they've done.

If you are not very technical then this can seem not very impressive but it is actually holds massive potential for IPoAC.
We haven't seen an improvement this substantial since rfc 6214

I took a week off when Baldur's gate 3 came out and specifically organised other friends to have time off to play it with me that week.
Don't regret it at all, probably best game experience I've ever had to be honest.

Well it is one thing to be at the same party for rich people as another rich person, maybe you talk to them in passing and joke with them like any guest.

Inviting someone to your wedding implies a different level of relationship, one that many people have been trying to pretend that Trump didn't have with Epstein.

No the "stuff would get cheaper" is a logical leap that you've imposed onto the scenario.

It is not part of the presented logic that things would get cheaper.

The presented logic is saying that tariffs apply additional expense over and above other expense increases.

In the UK you'll pretty much always be asked if you want a flake or it'll usually be an option. The 99 Flake is usually the headline item on the Ice cream van.

99 Flake or Cadbury Flake is not how we would refer to them, we'd just call them a flake.

It's definitely not an obscure reference here.

These are very cost effective, you see initially they will be used to keep people out but over time you can repurpose them to keep people in.

This article is wild to me:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cly22xm8kx1o

Dude's tattoo is being used as an example of a 'gang' tattoo to justify sending people to El Salvador and he didn't immediately cancel his planned trip to Miami after finding out.
At the time of the article he was waiting to see, maybe he cancelled it now but honestly

Honestly I can't imagine a scenario where this wouldn't be the case after the events of last week. You would at least expect contingency plans to be getting hashed out right now.

I imagine even in countries where they are not remotely involved are going through many scenarios that last week they didn't have to consider.

My first thought was that they were trying to save someone trapped under the car and I was thinking there was no way that could help the person having a car bounce on you.

Whenever I see someone do something physically demanding for sport we should have someone entirely untrained also give it a go so we can understand it better.

I think it is correct because 'had been planning to' would be to confirm the plan existed but 'had been supposed to' indicates it was only speculated that she had such a plan.

If you don't have a good source that confirms she had a plan and confirming it definitively is not critical then you could use this phrasing to communicate that it was an assumption and then crack on with the rest of the article.

But not only is it not statistically improbable, it is a reasonable result that highlights that voters trended toward Trump across the board. This is similar to the nonsense reasoning that people were giving in 2020.

This claim in particular isn't founded on anything real, it wouldn't be out of place as a claim from the 2020 deniers, they made a lot of these sorts of claims.

It's the only place that can give him that exact haircut. You go to a new guy and they might wiff it.

There is also an upper bound for fluoride in water that is monitored for due to these studies and water is required to be treated to reduce the fluoride if it gets too high.
Fluoride occurs naturally in the water in many places so in those places it is often not added and just monitored to ensure it doesn't go higher than what the research shows to be safe.

So like they already remove fluoride from water when it approaches levels considered hazardous, even if no fluoride was added by humans.

It generally makes sense to go by the commercial success of the previous games. It is also probably easier to rework more modern games, having all the voice acting already done and systems in place to do that is going to be much easier. Less of a fight between 'faithful to the original' and 'modern gameplay'

Wouldn't be surprised if they do Morrowind next. There are a lot of system in Morrowind that are more 'old school' so it would need more work I feel.

It's clearly fake because if they didn't actually know who the government official was they would have instead pre-determined it was DEI or woke radical left.

Damn, I thought I was being ticked but yeah it totally is like this. I wonder if this is used to verify the controller is an official one and not a second party cheaper copy.

Taking time to point out that their information is outdated and that is why they should move on, is IMO a much better strategy.

The majority of this misinformation comes from misunderstandings or out of date information. We can't assume everyone is up to date and we should assume they've been presented with some evidence that is making them feel sure in their claim. So we should present them with the updated information.

Well this is my point really. It is not the case that there was never anything to consider but that it is based on older things. The FDA in the US officially removed PHOs 22 Dec 2023 after a period of phasing them out.
That isn't that long ago, it is easy to see how people can get distracted.

I think its important to acknowledge that things have moved on otherwise people will are less likely to understand. Just dismissing people is a good way for them to fall down the rabbit hole
