I wont be the one to draw that line. Where do we stop lying? I would rather keep my word and be known as trustworthy and cold than a liar
However, taking Santa. The portion of humans that would affect is so small in comparison. The portion of CHILDREN that would affect (3/?)

with presents I don't care about the item- I care about the thought. As for Santa, I don't think about that- it's a special edge case.
If I'm asked a direct question I won't lie about it. I don't have much going for me, so honesty is something I can control about myself.
