My youngest cat seems to know when I'm upset too, or when I'm suffering from anxiety or panic attacks, or anger, she comes running to help.
I'd lose my cookies out both ends in something like that...hell to the nope.
I have a long haired hat, sometimes a turdling will get stuck to her ass fur...and end up elsewhere :(
