He actually works as a lab technician, teaches archery and pole dancing classes, appears at events, and does stage combat and motion capture. So about four different jobs before you get to making online content.
This pastor isn’t Catholic, the New Life Kenefick Church doesn’t appear to be part of any larger church organization, which is possibly one reason he was reported and prosecuted. Historically the Catholic church avoided criminal prosecution because many people did not report until after the statute of limitations. The church also leaned on its huge influence in communities, not only against families but with law enforcement, to avoid official and criminal prosecution in favor of moving priests.
At the beginning of the clip, the woman in the lower right is wearing a scarf with nonsensical characters. So excited to live in a time where you can’t even trust ‘woman eats a pizza’ to be real.
Not pictured - the time spent practicing your sewing to make this look so simple. Thanks for sharing your method, they look great.
This makes the time I saw a rat eating a pigeon on the subway even more concerning
More likely you would incorporate the flag of St. David, gold on black, but it still gets pretty hectic.
Repentia (I think the only unarmored Sororitas we see at the moment) have some kind of ports. It's not the Black Carapace but some other kind of interlink for their armor, the best I can find is 2nd hand copy that Sororitas armor has links to improve the response of the armor movement. https://imgur.com/BYylNFy
Well, it's both. The AI definitely made an error when it identified her as the suspect. That error was then hugely compounded by whichever officer allegedly reviewed her details, and the incredible laxity on holding her without any follow up. All the police actions were terrible, but they wouldn't have targeted her without the AI mistakes (they would probably have found someone local to terrorize though).
If you look closely, most of the animals are Christopher Robin's toys (Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger, Kanga and Roo) while only Owl and Rabbit are real animals of the woods. They were based on the actual toys that the real Christopher Robin (AA Milne's son) owned.
Highly unclear when this is supposed to be from, but the Ottoman Empire lasted until 1922. Books also last a long time if protected, the main issue is the quality of paper used (I have books from the 1800s that are in bad shape because they were cheap printings, considered expendable).
Probably Y2K, another ‘everyone was so worried and nothing happened’ situation because we spent $300b working to fix it.
Would love to see how the seams were 'welded', is it just using the iron to melt the PLA together? Really impressed it holds together so well.
Having to remake part of it must be painful, but it will be worth it in the end. Thanks for sharing the progress!
Unfortunately, research seems to show that the repeated minor impacts are potentially just as bad for long term brain health. You might not get big hits, but getting repeatedly jolted still accumulates brain damage. There is basically no way to endure repeated head impacts safely.
Historically, it wasn’t unusual to dig up oldgraves, inter the bones in an ossuary or elsewhere, and reuse the plot. Someone of note might be preserved or even moved to a more prestigious place. The US has a lot of land so it’s not common here, but abandoned graveyards do get developed over time.
Very likely that many of those pictured (and people you have met) are fraternal twins, which are basically just siblings of the same age. Roughly 70% of twins are fraternal and only 30% are identical. Many twins are also not trying to deliberately confuse people so they will have different styles or distinctive mannerisms. I was in high school with identical twins who always dressed the same and I could never tell them apart.
Guess what happens to routine inspections while the government is shut down.
Dollar coins are still being minted, it’s just that no one uses them.
Well he wasn't raised in a barn.
Given she has a rollerbag, I think this might be the shopping area of an airport terminal. Some of the big ones are like a full mall inside.
Which part? Tolkien presented the book as a translation of ‘The Red Book of Westmarch’ that has been written by Bilbo, Frodo, Sam and annotated by others. Appendix F.II of LotR he discusses his ‘translation’ of names from ‘Westron’ and other languages to English and for a modern audience, including his choice to translate the name ‘Banazir’ to ‘Samwise’ to maintain the effect of the name. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Book_of_WestmarchTo my knowledge he did not discuss potatoes
The Lord of the Rings is ostensibly a translation of an original text, and the translator has taken liberties to ensure the characteristic of the story is conveyed as well as the literal meaning. So just as a hobbits name is anglicized as Samwise Gamgee to give him appropriate familiarity to the audience, the actual plant is translated as ‘potatoes’ because it helps the reader understand that this is a common, humble food that imparts the comfort of home, which a direct translation would not.
The way his career has turned he really needs that signing bonus.
Sure! This is someone who runs streams of carving. He uses a chainsaw and other power tools so a lot of the time it's just watching him work, but he does talk during pauses or for explanations: https://www.youtube.com/@KyleHallwoodworker/streams It can be really cool to see projects go from basic materials to finished work.
There are a number of craftspeople who do streams just of them working without commentary - I've seen it for carvers and similar using powertools. You certainly don't have to stream anything if you don't want, but I think there would be some people who enjoy watching the process. But we also love seeing your edited progress videos as a project develops!
There was already a movie about that, the answer is yes
Ministry of Silly Walks has seriously advanced their craft.
You have to be a resident for 5 years first (3 if married to a US citizen). He has had time to do it anyway, though.
