What I've seen says that "near space" is the region of 20-100km
Honestly we were searching that corn field for an hour in August heat and she flipped it inside after getting hot.
No aliens! It did have a small.parachute and GPS tracker. I filed a NOTAM with the FAA prior to launch. Check the link in description
