This is great, but hardly "practical". Assume the worst, and plan accordingly? C'mon. This reminds me of articles I've read about rape prevention that say things like, "be aware of your surroundings". OK, great. But once you're IN those surroundings, and are aware, THEN what? This is more like "platitudes" to make you feel like you're being proactive.
