Even if its reputable, no ones going to say they're against the regime and get swatted. That its as high as 20% with the heavy suppression they have going on is pretty impressive
See thats the thing. I can see it in regan, he had the mr rogers vibe if you knew nothing about him. W had friendly uncle going on. I can't, for the life of me, see anything remotely appealing about the orange one. The only hint I've ever gotten was my conservative friend getting VERY drunk and saying his immunity to consequences was hot.
Its similar but less impressive/distinctive
Depends on the begging. Whining? Bad. The shoulder thing the poodle is doing? Hilarious but bad. Cute eyes from a respectful distance? Sure whatever
Niche areas can fall prey to concentration quickly. The discourse turns a little toxic around a controversial topic (say, spanking). The normal people get turned off and leave. Everyone else is a little more radical. The next topic is less controversial but no less contested. Eventually you hit a critical mass where people are tossing out death threats because someone uses gerber baby food. There's probably a big element of sexism towards dads as well in this one
Nah, gotta match 1 for 1. Fluck places cameras everywhere he goes, develops a pattern and analytics for everything he does, and sells that info to the public. Its not stalking if the cameras just happen to be where hes been seen?
I think that's the point though. You can be a ruthless cutthroat business AND not literally be sucking the well dry. You just have to suck a tiny bit less, and the majority refuse.
I've daydreamed about this a lot. One of my favorites is price matching Walmart. Nowhere else, just walmart. Every product they carry, sold at or slightly lower than their price, paid for by every product they don't carry.
To actually come back, they would have to enforce "mark your political posts with #politics" with a warning then a ban. Until then it's just perpetual astroturfing which can't be filtered
Sure, but "he cheated the election" implies that 4 people voted for him, while 5 were counted voting for him, and the problem is that either way 4 people willingly elected convicted rapists, and now people are raping people and having it covered up.
See, my problem with Hawaiian pizza is the ham. It doesn't stand up to the pineapple enough. Al pastor solves this with spices, pepperoni solves this for pizza
He may have, but plenty of people are still all here for it, so the point is a bit moot. Whether he won by a small margin or cheated his way out of losing by a small margin, roughly half the voting populace still supported him, and roughly 35% still do even after everything.
Make sure the school administration knows theres an issue between you, that it's currently under control and doesn't need action taken but that she could come after you with reprisals. Get ahead of it in case she starts something there
I predicted it would be germany themed, but I thought it would happen 8 years ago and not have my parents on the other side
Definitely, it sounds like the best use case is replacing sprinkler head style fire suppression, which would be great. As it is, those things are a total loss waiting to happen, as gross stagnant water thats been sitting in the reservoir since the last time someone cycled it goes through gross pipes which have been growing weird stuff for years rains down everywhere (not just on the fire) and causes flood and water damage. If they could spot-kill fire and have sprinklers as a backup...
I think they're going with The South and Nazis, and Russia, with a side of every brushfire war in the middle east. We beat them down, then say "now stay good" with no other major action, and then act surprised when they rise again. I also think they're calling for to-the-death war, which isn't actually a useful position, we just have to actually have consequences for the enemy, such as intensive retraining and holding the leadership responsible.
For real. "You threatened to invade our country. Nothing even tangentally touching you will be allowed, full sanctions"
Yeah, it gets dicier when it's half and half for me. AI as the end product: ew. AI as a tool to get you there, fine. AI filling in the blanks by doing half of the end product? Eeehhhh? Like, I have a friend who's writing a song. She fed her lyrics in, it generated a whole end product song, I told her she should transcribe the chords then play it and tweak it to make it her own.
America is all about personal responsibility, up until the moment something bad happens. Then suddenly, it's all about someone else's personal responsibility to have prevented the bad thing, usually by way of seeing everyone who could have held even the smallest amount of potential liability.
Bust heads in the C-suite when they're making decisions about forcing windows 8 and the metro ecosystem. That'd also have the side effect of saving xbox from its dark timeline (hopefully)
Yeah, hearing historians rant about how stupid and chaotic hitlers regime was was eye opening, after a lifetime of books and classes quietly worshiping him. Always "oh those bad evil hypercompetent devious genius nazis that barely got beaten" until suddenly you start hearing about how all the assassination attempts were the party trying to kill hitler for fucking up their plans, the loyalty purges, the drugs, and even the "smart" things they did (like nazi medical science) were stupid.
Not to mention defensive concentration. You get the list down to 2. The entirety of russian defense gets placed in those 2 locations. You go blow up another oil refinery because it isn't defended
Sanity damage (interface screw), all the mobs faces start melting
I didn't say Can't, I said Won't. Short of an absolutely revolutionary shift, and the deaths of millions in the resulting conflict, there will never be enough consensus to overcome 250 years of slapping unadulturated evil on the wrist. Key points: reconstruction, operation paperclip, mkultra, enron, panama papers, epstein files.
The corrupt will never be held accountable. Some of the figureheads might, but the rank and file won't. Better he be dead immediately and removed from power that hope for someday accountability
I don't even want enjoyment. I want 2015 facebook back: obtaining general life updates from people I won't likely run into for another 5 years, so that I can go "oh yeah you had kids how are they doing" when I do. Since fb slowly descended into "here's 1000 posts from pages you haven't shown interest towards and 1 post from one of your friends" there's no reason for anyone to be there. There isn't any platform preforming that service either, so it's just back to awkward catch up conversations
French revolution 2.0, hopefully with less goalpost moving and thus a shorter reign of terror

Sorry, mixed two sentences, should have been *but nafta was also shit and burning it may have been*
I mean, the orange one is the embodyment of enshitification, but burning nafta was also shit and may have been one of the few good things he's ever done. He didn't replace it with anything worthwhile, so only half a win
