They had to have known. Guy was standing there in their workplace at an actual waiter’s table for 9 minutes. Doing something entertaining. Actual waiter helped by leaving them alone for that long. Staff was loving it. Manager likely knew too.

I hear all these comments but my question is, why is this such a big deal now? We’ve had a lot of hints on trumps sexual predilections and behaviors, and we’ve had multiple pictures of these two partying together. Am I just biased to be certain he was all over this?

I personally wish we would give more to Ukraines defense, but I didn’t miss the economic ripples out from the transferred weapons. The government gave away a large quantity of resources though, and some circles stateside benefited economically. The inflation we experienced was fed in part by this, and we owe it to our neighbors who didn’t happen to catch a wrapping windfall, to acknowledge their tax burden which wasn’t repaid uniformly.

I understand that trading of resources whether currency, weapons, etc., ripples out to adjacent parties, sometimes favorable ones. This doesn’t remove the fact that Ukraine was given $350b worth of something by the US. Weapons industry gets contracts to retool and generate profit from investment and labor which is great for them, but not a free $350b giveaway. Pretending otherwise erodes public support for Ukraine if US taxpayer contributions are dismissed as simply going back into their pocket
Not anti Ukraine here, but why does everyone but me apparently find this argument compelling? If we gave Ukraine $350b in weapons, then we essentially gave them $350b. The secondary effects to industry is incidental. What did I miss..
Probly vast majority relates to that, right? The real pickle seems to be how did this many people see this as a side worth taking..

I’m a dad and - at least to me - that doesn’t feel relevant to the general issue. As someone who’s done it, cutting off toxic family members is a no-brainer. I imagine the most challenging part could be in the intermediate levels- determining whether the toxicity is borderline between unacceptable and just difficult..

Ok valid point backed with data and I also am pretty disappointed we’ve picked the sociopathic malignant narcissist to make mockery of our hopes ideals norms and systems but I think this November I learned: differences between Oklahoma and Massachusetts are complex and messages like this will only exacerbate this rightward tendency for these folks. We’re all human, voting with our emotions, and sticking up our noses is a sure way to generate more votes against our collective interests
They’re making calls on states that are clearly known beyond any margin for error. Yeah a few people haven’t voted yet. Doesn’t change anything. I don’t know how much we need to villainize the media (maybe a lot?) but the statisticians at these decision desks don’t appear to be in our top 1000 of problems
