I posted this elsewhere, but they stole royalties from a book they published for me (sadly I didn't think to check their social media and never realised what a bunch of bigoted asswipes they were until it was way too late) and they come up with the most hare-brained excuses from 'we tried to work with you' (after publicly admitting to blocking my email) to 'you don't want the royalties'.
This company refused to pay royalties for a book they published and then, as you expect, started gaslighting and making things up in some weird attempt to defend their actions ultimately ending with them saying I never wanted my royalties. Because, yeah, people don't want to be paid for their work.

I'm so incredibly angry about it but I was going to let it go, but they say stuff like this. I'll reach out and see what a US-based lawyer says.
I have so many of these lies. It's just a matter of cost vs what I made in books sold (and I live in a different country)
In the process, unfortunately probably going to cost more than royalties earned (and live in different countries)
