I had to close the ticket myself, voluntarily, or he wouldn't get paid.
Dish employs both subcontractors and third party installers. It's how dish washes their hands of basically any liability for everything they do. Hell, it's possible that guy showed up for work and was told to start digging a posthole, because in reality that is all the installer has to do. The time to install was likely even less monitored than hooking up someone's TV.
Given that she could have easily been a billionaire the answer is a metric fuckload. Musk could give 100x the amount and still comfortably be the richest person on the planet.

They also had significant numbers of kamikaze aircraft and boats ready under operation Ketsugo
While 'it saved lives' is simplistic, since the Japanese decision to surrender was down to multiple events but we do know if Japan hadn't surrendered by the end of typhoon season in 1945, with or without the bomb, the US was going to invade. The Japanese were extremely well prepared for this, even more prepared than the US knew, and it would have been absolutely horrific.

I'm a former mechanic who married an engineer. Granted me full insight into the fact it isn't the engineers making those dumbass decisions. The orders come down from people who aren't engineers, have never been mechanics, and probably could not identify the correct end of a ratchet. There are exceptions of course, but it seems most of the time a decision is made by a group of MBAs in a conference room based solely on cost and ease of manufacture.
