I like chocolate, I like cheese and these are things that pleases me.
You couldn't be more right. I've made many random friends just in the tower or on the planet. And willingly helped many others and had fun.
Don't give up! I changed careers when I was 33 into IT. I needed Grade 12 Math and I took a night course and got it done! You can do it!

Similar experience for me back in 2013. My dad passed from cancer quite suddenly (within days of finding out). Stills hits me to this day.
Dude I sorta had the same problem. Every relationship I had, they married the girl after me.

Remove everything that reminds you of them and dive into something new. Maybe something you've always wanted to try. Video games help a lot.
Lost my dad when he was 60. Stage 4 bone cancer is what did him but he had signs of lung and liver cancer too. Smoked a lot and drank some.

My cat did this when he was young. Thankfully he just puked a giant ball of them up and was just in shock for a bit. I kept them away after.
