So if sector 5132 fails some internal health check, the drive's firmware can say "now any time you try to read/write sector 5132, instead I'll send that to backup sector 4". Windows doesn't know this is happening and if by very bad luck there was something sensitive originally stored on sector 5132, now it's just there forever and you can't erase it. In a perfect world we assume it was damaged such that reading it is impossible but usually there are still ways to recover it and then game over.
Even before SSDs, the underlying storage media for anything can have "bad sectors" for lots of reasons, usually a small scratch or a particle of dust which got through all the air filters at the factory. With SSDs it became more common because each storage "chunk" is a complex bit of circuitry rather than a bit of rusty plastic, more things which can go wrong. So all hard drives keep a reserved set of extra bonus storage to take over for damaged areas, and they do it transparently.
SATA does have a standardized "ATA SECURITY ERASE UNIT" command which does the thing you describe just internally on the drive controller. The issue isn't usually wear leveling so much as the bad block replacement system which can transparently remap degraded areas of the SSD, but anything which supports secure erase would be fine.
Lavarand was invented by SGI in 90s and Linux support for it dates back to 2003. Cloudflare was a decade late to the party :) Also for the last ~10 years, server CPUs all have hardware RNGs built in to the die but there's persistent concerns about an NSA backdoor in it so most OSes use it for only a small part of the system entropy pool.

I can understand you having an aesthetic preference in others, perhaps try to spend that energy on seeing through others' eyes and enjoy that they enjoy things? There must be a line, if someone else enjoying things is causing harm then call it out. Perhaps you think that's the case here, that she is creating harmful visual stereotypes for girls? But then say that part rather than focusing on yourself

60 days and they do send you an email beforehand. Also if you want to be sneaky you can have another cron job that pushes a junk commit to the repo every 30 days or similar :)
1920s would almost certainly be something hand cranked so the frame rate wouldn't be perfectly stable.

Cats have TRPV1 receptors, you are either thinking of cats not tasting "sweet" (due to a faulty Tas1r2 gene) or that birds (and all non-mammals) lack TRPV1 and so don't react to capsaicin.
I say the same thing about the Scarlett Johansson reboot Ghost in the Shell. It's got a very different point to make than the original but it does have a point.
