This is the definition of dumb products as used above, i.e. the antonym of "smart products" such as "smart" appliances. Simple and stupid, with fewer parts, ways to fail, and less complexity instead of a full operating system and connectivity. Lots of 2000s-era electronics straddle that line a bit, e.g. the washing machine and television above might still have a printed circuit board but much, much simpler ones connected to mechanical switches and less software/firmware.

They've mentioned this in comments on their other wildlife photo posts, so probably Canon EOS R8 and RF100-500mm? or the somewhat less expensive RF100-400mm, used for a lot of other older photos they've commented on, so maybe they have a recent upgrade!
This photographer has answered this before for other photos, only some of which were at this distance and in decent daylight, but at minimum a Canon EOS R8 and probably a Canon RF100-500mm (around 3000 USD at MSRP!) or RF100-400mm (around 750 USD MSRP) based on recent posts.

How do you figure? Is it only case law you're referring to? Because Title 18 U.S. Code § 2261 says "for life or any term of years, if death of the victim results" https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/2261 If someone is banking on that not being applied to the fullest here, I think attorneys just committed serious legal malpractice.
That's a real concern for sure, especially simply forgetting how recently you took a dose because you're so out of it and not always lucid, or just desperate for relief and not keeping track.
If people aren't reading their OTC cough syrups and dosing instructions enough to at least notice an active ingredient overlap, I feel like that's deliberate self-sabotage.
Best solution is to alternate them and thereby reduce the concentration of each, as long as the type of symptom would respond well to the type of medication and you're not taking more than you need. COX (NSAID) analgesic mechanisms aren't a cure-all, but that's true for most pain relief beyond total nerve-blocking anesthetics.

Journals do, in fact, do some (albeit not always enough) vetting and screening so that unscientific slop, papers with no academic rigor involved, or just straight up fraud doesn't get published (in the good ones). Also, anyone can publish anything already on any site that allows file uploads and downloads; there's not much of a social media element to journal/doi downloads either, they're just PDFs plus an abstract blurb and citations.

I'm confused by your analogy. It's not spelled 'Poter', and there is no parallel to be drawn here. Perhaps you can elaborate?

And despite the diction in the upper parts about warrantless search and seizure, no prosecution may happen without prior authorization, which the Yahoo article makes no mention of (only "police" and "authorities", no "the Public Prosecutor").
Probably not without the publisher actually doing their own warehousing in the EU. Most individual parcel shipping options from US to DE are about 30 EUR for a 1-kg book-sized package. DHL wants a massive 135 USD for a consumer/private shipment, but major carriers like those offer hefty discounts for businesses. Amazing how easy it is to get cargo ships of crap from China to North America for fractions of a cent, but crossing the smaller ocean to serve small businesses requires selling a kidney.
