As a guy and an engineer, the point she makes about how women sit in cars has been a pet peeve of mine for a long time.I remember as a kid finding it curious and mildly amusing how women sat in cars: leaning forward and their head upward. As an adult I now understand why, but I also notice that is still the case several decades and as many design styles later.WTF is wrong with the automotive industry for it not to fix a problem obvious even to a kid and that impacts about half their consumers?
Never been in that situation, but I would say you stay left. That's a pretty big enough breach of trust, and what you could call an irreconcilable difference of how the two of you see a relationship.

When a party is hellbent on winning and has shown it will do anything for it, treat it as such. When their voter base is behaving irrationally, don't use rational argument and lament it doesn't work. When a character will use any controversy as advertisement, don't play their game. When they win after showing crass behaviour, don't expect they will suddenly start to behave. When a government uses chaos, stay focused.
Unpopular opinion: if you are still using this logic, you still haven't understood who you are dealing with and how to beat them, and you are 10 years overdue for getting your act together.

You're making a mistake here. US already badly damaged trust from its allies under Trump's first term. Some people apparently thought everything went back to normal with Biden, but it did not: trust takes a long time to regain, and it was clear that things could go wrong again any time.
So racism and bigotry are ok as long as they were lied to?
