I didn’t do the math on the NASA conversation, but it’s really hard to comprehend how small these decimal places are. Looking at an (American) football field, the 10 yard line is the first 1 (.1), the 4 (.04) is the 4 yard line, and the second 1 (.001) is just under 3 19/32 of an inch from the end zone. Going back 14 decimals is such a minuscule change. Even across those vast distances I suspect the error would be correctable as you approach a destination.
And still I would not have enough coffee.

My wife took time off work to get the appropriate paperwork together and spent $140 to get a new passport. We are fortunate enough that she could do that. The people who can’t afford $140 or to miss time at a job are the ones who are really going to be hit by this. And it’s all show boating to prevent such a small percentage of instances that have never come close to swaying an election.
Currently waiting for a pizza baking in the oven, so I read this thinking you had ordered two slices of pizza. Yours is better!Also, I suspect they have delivered plenty of single slices of pie, scoops of ice cream, or whatever. We all get hungry and don’t always have to feed more than just ourselves.And if a delivery driver chooses to judge those they are delivering to, then that’s on them.
