Maybe not exactly what he said, but he was on balance a decent president and things in general were better than his predecessor and better than the following administration. Look - at the end of an election, one of the people on the ballot is going to take office. If you can’t feel excited about a candidate, engage in harm reduction and vote for the person who won’t actively hurt others. Not voting is allowing others to choose for you, and often hurts people.
I mean, “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” is right there in the Declaration of Independence. Doesn’t say anything about working or jobs or property. I wish we’d cleave to that sentiment more around here.
