There isn’t any erosion at the base of the hill and it’s been like this for 60+ years. We also only after 12” of rain annually here
It’s a granite slope, it’s been like this for 69 years. Some lots have sheer cliffs instead of a slope without obvious erosion

That’s what I was also considering. Would you consider that better than cutting out the fascia flush?
The back is already open. The problem is the fascia is angled so that the hanger can’t lay flush and have a 90 degree angle.
I’ll cut it to size i was just making sure it fits . The issue is the vertical overflow washer has a wider taper than my tub
