I hope you don’t think the hair on the left is merely “curly.” That’s a specific style, requiring a few hours of work per week to maintain the locks. And it’s a style that didn’t become popular until the 80s. Do an image search for “1960s curly hair” and I’m pretty sure you’ll find only bouffants.
Yeah I say “modern” but I’m 46. 😄
That’s quite a modern hair and makeup style on the girl in 1967. Not entirely sure that’s a real photo.
For context: that treaty is why the history of the Maori people isn’t quite as heartbreaking as that of Aboriginal Australians or Native Americans. It’s 100% worth fighting for.
