Has anyone here seen Equilibrium?
Thank you for donating!
Yes, it's real. He also suggested renaming New Mexico to New America.
That is awesome! Someone needs to do a Dr. Strange version of this.
Thank you! Some day, fingers crossed. Also, I'm not always sure if someone is being genuinely curious or just being prejudiced when they ask why I want to visit Iran. I appreciate your genuine curiosity!
Relevant: Our state senator, Saud Answar, posted a video to promote a local restauranteur's GoFundMe, raising money for his community in the wake of the flash floods in Nepal. Instead of helping, one person questioned the authenticity by asking how much the senator donated. Another made a racist comment about Saud Anwar's accent. A third person made a racist joke about the restauranteur's name. https://imgur.com/FiAwVRH
Hmm. Fair question. I primarily want to visit Isfahan, Yazd, and Shiraz. And of course we'd have to fly in and out of Tehran. I don't know how much flights cost, but I imagine it's comparable to flying to Greece or Turkey. Aside from that I haven't given it much serious thought. I made a post about Isfahan, Yazd, and Shiraz. Check out the pictures and you'll understand why I would love to visit: /gallery/dream-destination-iran-xgR3U8B
I'm not sure what you mean. It's not a new thought; I've felt this way for several years now.
I'd really like to visit Iran and see the beautiful architecture and exquisite craftsmanship of their mosques and palaces. I know not to hold my breath, but I hope the Iran-US relations improve some day.
Will have to add Coherence to my list of movies to watch.
I can't tell you how long I've been trying to remember the word "diegetic." I've asked friends (including musicians), I've Googled, I've Bing'ed, and no one knew what I was talking about. Thank you, @op!

On the one hand, that looks amazing and I want one. On the other hand, helicopters are hard to enough to fly as it is. Flying a helicopter with the weight of an RV added to it sounds like a nightmare.
I've been there, and it sucks. I'm sorry. I hope you find something else as good or better and I hope you find it soon.
This is a FRIENDLY neighborhood, bitch!
I don't exactly know how Meta-Glasses work, but we had to kick someone out of our Zoom classes because he wasn't paying attention. I sent him the screenshots that the instructor had provided me. He argued back that he was paying attention and that he wasn't looking at the screen because he was wearing Meta-Glasses. The instructor had also said that he failed to answer when called upon.
Sorry to hear that. We've been through the same and it's a lot of difficult decisions to make. Hugs.
I was thinking he's a lame-duck tator, but this is more accurate.
Agreed. Homophobia and transphobia make no sense. If you took sex completely out of the equation people would still love each other and form deep emotional bonds. That said, congratulations on meeting someone and having a great date! I hope it works out with her!
I'm disappointed to learn the video is fake, because it really was cute. And yeah, it's a huge problem when we can't tell what's real anymore. Couple this with scientific illiteracy and a public that is increasingly uninformed, it does not bode well for the future of civilisation.
Exactly. I wonder if and when we are going to reach a breaking point with the growing wealth inequality. I seriously wonder if there will someday be a bloody revolution like there was in France or Russia.
That's fair. Approaching a woman and talking to her is never easy. But there are ways to avoid the camera. Don't talk to girls in a club or bar. Talk to girls in environments where people aren't likely to film you: The library, the grocery store, the park, the cafe, etc.
You have very good taste in music.
You waisted no time at all.
This is 100% true.
After striking out on dating apps, I went back to meeting girls the old fashioned way and had much more success. I'm married now. That said, I disagree with him about why people aren't having kids. Wealth inequality and cost of living are definitely a huge factor. I want my son to have a brother or sister, but I literally can't afford it. Daycare is expensive. Healthcare is expensive. Things keep getting more and more expensive and our wages aren't keeping up.
Let me know how it is. I've been meaning to read it too.
I Googled Man Bat, expecting/hoping to find some funny images. Turns out Man Bat (or Man-Bat) is an actual DC comics character.
Hello Derek!
This, so much! The preservation of cultures argument is such bunk because borders actually pressure us place nationality over ethnicity or culture.
