If they are real wood and haven’t been messed with they could/should be able to go on indefinitely. Pressboard etc not so much. I know some original wood and plywood (not chipboard/mdf) cabinets from the 40s/early 50s that are in better shape than mid-high end modern cabinets made in the last decade or two. Even the real wood ones are usually just glued together w/ stock so thick the hinges ets will wear out way faster. Good cabinetry doesn’t need the material to be 1” to hold up.
I’d trust a random stranger on the street better than certain family members. Funny to assume that having a LEO in the family would make a person less likely to view cops poorly rather, especially given the domestic violence stats.Most folks I’ve met w/ cop relatives are either bastards themselves accepting/embracing the shit in exchange for having an “in” or they tend to have almost the same perspective as people w/family members murdered by police.

Makes perfect sense kid would immediately assume the cop is looking for JC in relation into the theft as banks and ATMS were one of the first places to get a lot of security cams etc.

Yep. I have & love high intensity dogs. Met a guy (retired cop) the other day with a retired military Malinois. He was talking about how his insurance made him build a 6ft reinforced fence for his dog yard because the dog had attacked his nephew. Nephew stayed w/ the family for a week no issue while guy was away. Guy got back, dog decided kid was suddenly now an intruder, & tore into their leg. Not the dog’s fault. There really needs to be a better system or no training/using dogs that way.
If the Engineers found the “Thing” race was spreading & consuming entire systems it would make sense to go “scorched earth” and build a “perfect” race to compete and deny space cancer its fodder. Xenos appear to retain and use some of their prey’s DNA (malleable form alter based on host) so they could even be built to “steward” and preserve native species once the threat/infection is gone.
I feel like this deserves to be a canon point. Really it’s about the best possible explanation for the Xenomorph species to develop such reactive blood (which would be complicated and biologically costly to produce & maintain bio systems around).Two wildly parasitic races spreading through space consuming and corrupting other species en masse. Would make reasonable sense if they evolved or were built with defense mechanisms. Would also explain and validate the Engineers design of them etc.

I feel the west coast could mostly just split off and do its own “Left Coast” thing. I suspect it ultimately comes down to shorthand/abbreviation. “Physics” effectively being short form for expressions like “physical forces”, “physical sciences”, or “physical properties”. If the issue is grammar and using “physics” is awkward then use the long form wording for the specific form intended.“The physical forces acting on a falling leaf” rather than “the physics of a falling leaf”.
If you are in a place where whole neighborhoods regularly have to relocate bc a corp or gang moves in or makes it unsafe that’s all wasted effort & resources. Worse you make things nice & it draws attention or leads to behavior that gets noticed by folks that want to take easier paths.Do spend $$$ to fix a roof in somewhere homes get entirely destroyed regularly by floods or deal w/ the leaks as needed?All this is also part of a design.
