"In a statment, the LDS" been trying to track down this statement, all i can find are references from news outlets reporting that this statement was made, but i can't find the ACTUAL statement. Can anyone help?

I don't disagree with your assessment - just wanted to add some context. Many on the subreddit assumed that she and the deputy arrived after the shootings took place as "backup" and would have been working to bring the situation under control - it is not uncommon for those who arrive on scene to aid in identifying people, and that often includes placing all persons in handcuffs whether or not they are perceived as being directly involved.

Every time i see people doing pole-exercise type work I freak out inside imagining my arm being ripped out of its socket being torqued behind my back or twisted like a pretzel
