My kids were born in the late 80's and early 90's. Insurance covered it all. No premiums, no copays, no out of pocket, just showed my insurance card. It was so much easier back then.

I am pissed that I wasn't taught any of this in school. It is part of our history, it shouldn't be erased, or hidden. We must be better, and to be better, we must face our faults. Black Americans were not allowed to build generational wealth, their kids were forced into failing schools, they were pushed into polluted neighborhoods, and now our idiotic government wants schools to make sure white kids don't feel bad. Health insurance companies should cease to exist. CEO's who got rich by denying care should be sued for every cent they took from the insured. Charge them with crimes against humanity. At the least, make insurance company officers take the Hippocratic Oath. If health insurance companies are allowed to exist, they should be a humble service to help people, with limits on profits, not a way for a CEO to make tens of millions of dollars per year.
