Maybe this wasn't obvious enough but I was joking. The kernel of the joke being that this looks like a sillier version of chiropractic, which used to claim (and maybe still does claim?) to be able to cure deafness. Which is ridiculous. Chiropractic is quack science with the same evidentiary support as homeopathy and voodoo. The syphilis part I threw it in on account of STDs being inherently funny. Hope that helps clear things up.
I'm, it's called spangioplasty and it's unclinically improven to cure deafness and syphilis
I can anvil get one someday
a) I don't think Mike Patton knows how to *not* make music and tour, regardless of money b) FNM has been hugely popular in South America since the 90s, it's a convoluted story but they kind of accidentally became symbols of the Chilean independence movement, c) maybe they've never been like Metallica popular, but their last album was as good as anything they've made, which is... not something many people would say about Metallica
Not to argue but I always have to ask... How many dudes have you slept with?
Oh, you in the butter zone now baby!
What I noticed most on rewatching is, almost every hacker character has some form of gender non conforming going on, in clothes or makeup or mannerisms. At least a decade before I remember noticing or hearing anyone talk about the preponderance of trans people in computer security and cryptography.
My favorite thing about it is that almost every hacker character is shown in makeup and non gender conforming clothing, at least a decade before it became commonly known that trans people are heavily over represented in cybersecurity.
Comedians nowadays upload the part that changes every night so as not to spoil the written material
Looks gorgeous!
Harry Mack. Lethal is great but harry Mack is pretty unambiguously the goat here. Search for his Guggenheim freestyle and tell me I'm wrong.
#1 phone book (noun): like a data breach, but hardcopy
I hardly know her nickel!
Dad's don't not want a dog; they want to not be the only one who walks the dog.
I really liked "Reading Lolita in Tehran". It's a first person account if Iran's revolution and descent into totalitarian Islamic rule, written by a female professor of literature and told through the conceit of comparing her experiences of different eras of the revolution to the major themes of famous books she taught to get students. It's touching and inspiring and challenging. If someone said it was boring, well, I say they're boring!
I recognize "devil in the white city" and "reading Lolita in Tehran", both of which I thought were generally well regarded....
Outside of the Internet, HOAs are mostly used to pay for community property like pools and tennis courts. The "strict rules on lawns" type are not that common, they're just the ones that get talked about.
We need someone to do to the wealthy what trump does to immigrants and trans. "The wealthy are eating your pensions, they're stealing your taxes, they're drinking your kids' blood to stay young..."
Agile means "the team doing the work can change their own processes." Sprints or no, whatever you call stories, if you don't meet periodically and get to say "this process sucks, let's change it" then it ain't agile.
Me trying to get my kids to watch LOTR
Plot twist: it's a mirror
All of the Abrams Star Trek movies end with "the universe is destroyed unless Kirk wins this fistfight." Every single one.
They're ruining Fry for me. Come to think of it, they should have to pay royalties to whoever created the memes they use.
One of my friends brought over a pre-production copy on a plain VHS tape, before any of us had seen ads or heard of it, and told us it was "found footage" edited together by the Vermont State Police on behalf of the kids' families.
#36 Use "whom" when the answer could be "him." Who did it? He did. To whom? To him.
The giant logo, the fact that it was top of my feed, all the other mcdonald's ads lately....
This is an ad, isn't it?
My 84yo mother confirms this. According to her, "hey what's in this drink" meant you were doing something indulgent or irresponsible and jokingly blaming it on booze despite not being drunk, usually while holding a soft drink
A summation requires many successfully smaller steps, like an inexpert potato peeler, and an integral calculate the same answer in a single step
