Serious question here: if you can swim at all, is it not safer to go further outshore? no surfbreak, and you can just wait rescue there, even if it's a boat.

if a restaurant has QR menus, I insist on paying cash (in my country is illegal to refuse physical currency- paper bills and coins)
Cats only bite things they are holding with their paws. Their teeth are too long, and could break otherwise. A cat will "hold" you with their mouth, without bitting, to tell you to stop doing whatever it is you are doing (running away, in this case)
