Trump doesn’t have a coherent thought in his head anymore. His handlers tell him what to say, he understands none of it, only remembers half of it, makes up the rest, and then this is what we get.

Did you like get hit with a golf ball as a kid or something? Jesus Christ dude.

So… just so we’re clear, golfers are the problem, but rugby and cricket players are a-ok? Since golf is an international sport, is it still evil in Europe too? How about in Scotland where the sport was invented? Or are we just focused on the perils of American golfers here?

Dude I’m a graphic designer. I’ll never be rich lol. I chose a life in artwork over chasing the corporate ladder, don’t lump me in with those guys. I love golf because it’s challenging, your only opponent is yourself, and it’s one of the only games where integrity matters and you call fouls on yourself. Should I assume you have an equal hatred for baseball, basketball, football, tennis, soccer, and all the other sports that put up stadiums that could have otherwise been free public parks?

Most of them pump water from their own rain-fed ponds due to the immense cost of using city water to irrigate such a large space. It’s as eco-friendly as using a rain barrel at home. The idea that most golf courses “waste water” is laughable.

What you hate is snooty country clubs filled with rich assholes. That’s not the average golfer, or the average course. I play inexpensive public courses that are open to everybody. Most golf course watering is done using water stored and collected by rain in various ponds throughout, so irrigation is actually eco-friendly. Most of that “wasted land” was in the middle of nowhere that you weren’t going to visit anyway. And we all want to be like Trump?? No thanks. He can get fucked with a cactus.

It’s almost like corporations can’t be trusted. Hmmm…

Forget about ChatGPT, when I was at college we didn’t even have cell phones. We still had books, with real paper and everything. Google was technically a thing, but we hadn’t heard about it yet because we were still using Netscape.

Good point. Makes me think of the saying that was going around during Covid - “insisting on your freedom without acknowledging your responsibility is not patriotism, it’s adolescence”.

I’ll be honest fearmongrels made me giggle a little. Dealing with MAGA is like trying to put a toddler to bed who keeps making up imaginary things to be afraid of. The only difference is it’s not the toddler’s fault they’re a moron.

We don’t need fearmongrels when we have these fancy devices called cameras and microphones. That’s all we need to make Trump, this admin, and ICE look as worstest as possible. People are literally just filming them and replaying it.

There’s a lot more going on than just adding “a bit of vinegar” to mayonnaise.

Danny Trejo always had a clause in his contracts that said if he plays a bad guy then his character has to die, because he didn’t want to send the wrong message to kids that crime pays. I’d put him right up there with Keanu and Brendan.

I think for her it’s just habit. Her dad is a heart patient so her mom always monitored how much salt was in their food growing up. But putting unsalted butter on toast makes no sense to me. You just end up with oily fingers and slightly damp bread.

My wife insists on using unsalted butter for everything. I understand using it for cooking, to reduce unnecessary salt intake. But she’ll put it on her toast. Seriously lady? That doesn’t make toast taste better it just makes it oily. She’s a weirdo.

It’s basically an alternative to mayonnaise, yet it tastes nothing like mayo. Mayonnaise has a mild flavor whereas miracle whip has a very strong and distinct taste. Some people like it but I can’t even stand the smell of it.

That was part of it for me too. It also felt like it had a bit of a slow pace at the start.

Yeah it’s weird. Theres some element to the taste of miracle whip that hits me right away. It turns my stomach immediately. I can’t eat my mother-in-law’s deviled eggs because of it, and everyone else seems to go bananas for them. She uses a lot of mustard and paprika, but the first thing I taste is the miracle whip.

I’m sorry but we are now mortal enemies (joking lol). But I can tell a miracle whip deviled egg the second I put it in my mouth and even though I’m a grown ass man I will spit that out on my plate like a toddler.

Better reaction time than I would have had. I got smacked down by 3 waves in a row in Mexico and it scrambled my brain. The ocean put a whole sandcastle into my pockets. Meanwhile, children all over the beach were playing in the water without any issue.

#7 I was an adult before I found out I don’t actually hate mayonnaise. Turns out I can’t stand Miracle Whip. But in the 80’s/90’s everyone in my insane family called that “mayo” and I didn’t know any better. My kids were raised to respect real mayonnaise, not that abomination.

I’ve had Covid a couple times and the cold sweats are the worst. Soaking through your clothes and bed sheets at night is so uncomfortable… and gross. So sorry friend, hope it gets better soon!

Same for me. I’ve been meaning to give it another chance. But I lost interest in the audiobook about 1/4 through it.

Could also be due to different dialects spoken throughout the region. We still have that even with modern English. Take the same word spoken by someone in Los Angeles, Boston, and the rural south and you could get three completely different pronunciations.
