I wasn’t aware of upgrades to the chip. My understanding of upgrades came from driving to the local Egghead store and asking questions. That’s how I learned about soundcards

Currently I play ARC Raiders while my wife is next to me on a chaise lounge reading Dungeon Crawler Carl.

My first was a purchased Packard Bell 386xs that ran at a blazing 12 MHz. It at a 60 mb HDD. I added a 100 mb HDD, an Ad Lib soundcard, a mouse (to make playing SimCity easier) and a joystick (to play early flight sims). Fast forward to 2024 when I built my 14700K, 4070 TI Super.
Thank goodness it was not available while I was in college!
And SWOTL! Loved that game
Red Baron! Wolfpack! Doom! Silent Hunter! All time favs.
What was your first game? Mine was SimCity in 1989.
I’ll have to try that. Been playing ARC Raiders, FarCry6 and RDR2
We’re traveling to Amsterdam in a month!
I have scruples. I don’t travel to China, Russian Federation, Florida and Texas.
