He was born in 1916. I’d bet they were pushing military-wear to get the next gen excited about serving 😣
Someone pulled out the arched windows and put in rectangular windows and then covered the arch with paneling :(. This seems like a good solution to cover@up the ruined top

House was built in 1800, NJ.
Ripped up 1970s carpet and found unfinished wide plank pine boards. Hired a floor refinisher to sand them down and they’re beautiful
The attic steps are in the other side of the house. I have to demo this wall. I think it might be a second set of attic steps.
Burnt halfway through in a house fire in the 1970s
Walking on the floors here is like being in a funhouse
