#12 that looks like a spout specific for rain runoff. Why would you have a parking spot there?
Thank you very much! The main character talks to his dog in the book series ... And the guy who reads the audiobook (Luke Daniels) does a FANTASTIC job on the character voices. My favorite is the dogs 😂
Aaaaand you've helped me feel more inspired so song 2 is up. Nowhere near as ... Jaunty. But I hope also good. https://youtu.be/AFOMQ-AQEc8?si=U4QdHpN3xvnUP-yO
Thank you so much! I have more written and planned, (like a sad duet between Atticus and The Morrigans ghost). I have so many ideas jumbling around in my head
Thanks very much for taking the time to actually answer that question. Lagomorpha was also confused but Tiny Octopus asked first.
#11 oh my gawd I have new goals... WHAT IS THIS?!
#18 I wonder why they have to go to the ground. It seems evolutionarily dangerous (and kinda stupid) when they could just go while they're hanging in the treetop and let the turds fall wherever the wind and gravity take them.
It's because it's really bad for them. Its ingredients are not part of their usual diet (veggies, weeds, grass, bugs, small lizards or fish depending on the species of duck). And in areas where ppl feed ducks a lot, if it's mostly bread the ducks can have nutrient starvation and other health issues. There are lists of diet appropriate foods that you CAN give ducks that don't hurt them like bread can and does. That's why there are so many jokes about grapes on this thread.
I wish they did that here. I had to go to an emergency dentist when I got an infection in one of my molars. I had medical (but no dental) insurance. The only option I could afford was pulling the tooth entirely instead of crowns or whatever else because that was the cheapest option to make the pain stop and not have an infection spread
#50 fun fact ish? There were stations along the Thames river in London with the tobacco and tubes and method of lighting because blowing smoke up the rectum was thought to revive someone who had drowned or nearly so.
#24 all ChatGPT does is the googling for you, and then breaks down the information to re-present it in a wrapper that your brain can understand. YOU still have to be smart enough to understand the information, and you sure as FUCK aren't going to be allowed a phone or access to it in order to take and pass your medical exams. You will still need to be able to understand wtf is going on.
Oh my GOD the SASS I LOVE IT
#34 get you one of them fancy tankless water heaters. Then you can sit and cry in the shower until your utilities get turned off.
Can confirm. My dad was USAF and we were stationed in Maine for just over a year. Moose are big enough to block traffic if it's a small enough road. I was late to school several times because of a moose in the road refusing to budge, even for the school bus. It didn't give fuck.
Probably smells like a diesel pickup when it revs its engines and belches smoke. What an interesting little thought experiment, thank you.
Really? Genuinely curious the only thing I know about surfing is from memory snippets from "Team Rocket"
I would've upvoted but it was at 69 so I let it be
Yoink and thanks very much
I'm so tired of it. I want a politician who actually gives a shit instead of someone who uses our tragedy to fuel their political aspirations
Ironically even though I don't like our governor, I still have to respect HIS response to the situation. They've set up refueling spots for people without gas where folks can get up to ten gallons free either for their cars or generator. And they've set up other places for food and water distribution as well. And before the storm they also set up free fueling stations along evac routes so people could get gas to get the fuck out.
Yep. I'm still getting ad texts on my phone from different ones. Now they've just switched tactics to add the storm into their running campaigns.
Having just gone through Milton, and still being without power, this makes me hate the rich fucks in the city who have done crap like this. I'm charging my phone at work and cooking on a charcoal grill and heating water on it to bathe. It's 90° during the day. It sucks. We didn't even have running water until a day and a half ago
Agreed. My husband told me a story about our old girl (he had her for a few years before we met) she had just gotten surgery and was still recovering, and someone visited them with their toddler. The kid was all happy about kitty and picked her up right around the middle where her stitches were. She could've freaked out, bitten or clawed him, but she seemed to know the kid wasn't trying to be mean and just dealt with it until he put her down.
My roommate did this for two years during Covid. So many people quit, some were scared and some were nonbelievers who thought it was a hoax and refused to listen to the new rules. And many who quit were just never replaced, because who tf wants to work at a hospital during a pandemic. The amount of work the few remaining people were expected to handle was ridiculous.
I don't know about the sour candy but the screenshot of the face is her trying Kombucha I believe and going through a myriad of expressions trying to decide if she likes it or not before finally just saying "nope" and shaking her head.
Maybe. I don't know all the references for everything so it's entirely possible. I haven't seen Animatrix
There was an episode of Love, Death, And Robots that was like this.... The little cleaning robot went nuts and tried to kill a lady and her dog but stopped to clean shit and fold laundry
