Putting my cat down was the hardest thing I've ever done...putting her sister down when it's her time will also be the hardest thing I'll ever have to do. But, the week, months, years of missing them is way overshadowed by the many many years of unconditional love they have provided.

Yep. At one of my old apartments I definitely didn't hear em every day, but there were gunshots often enough that they didn't really phase me anymore....until they're real close... Then it's scramble time.
Got called in to my bosses office to ask why I didn't fill out the anonymous survey. I looked at him blankly and said uh... This is why. He didn't understand for a sec and then it dawned on him. If you knew I didn't take it, It's not anonymous.
Yep. Too much risk. If you wanna take care of the boys, talk to the advisor and order some pizzas or whatever. I've had beer and donuts that were left in the car as offerings turned down for whatever reason, but pizza delivered was always accepted.
Ah yes, the fringe cases that prove the rule...
That's what I do anymore, way way easier and less stressful. Little more expensive, but you pay for the convenience

Buddy of mine is a public defender. Told me most of the time he doesn't have a case, people are caught dead to rights, but the point is to make sure that justice is delivered to the letter of the law and that his clients are treated fairly and correctly. There's also some times where he gets to just throw random ass arguments out to see what sticks. It's a completely different gig
If nothing else, at least use half power when reheating something. Gets a much more consistent temperature all the way through.

amazing start to the race, and kinda boring for 2/3rds of it.
im sad there aren't more SS's being sold in the US. means I won't get one for cheap in 10-15 years...
