My life is probably more boring than yours. My favourites include reaction .gifs and images, as well as weird animations and just a few interesting things

i dont think rechargeable LR44 cells are widely available

my cat absolutely knows what the laser pointer is. she bugs me to use it, and if i dont will jump onto my desk to paw at it. she's also been very disappointed because its out of batteries and i havent had a chance to buy more

judging by the size, thats a young cow doing what young cows do: suck on anything and everything made of flesh. it'd suck that cat's ear right off if it was given the chance

its better than OPM, IMO. The comedy and action are on the same level, but the characters are developed much better, and seeing Mob's growth throughout just feels good

are mercury's days longer despite a faster rotation because of its orbit?

rainbows are a simple natural phenomena that have been romanticized for centuries. almost everyone has seen one before, so are a simple and nice thing to write a song about

Shakespeare and Lovecraft wrote bad stories too, you just dont hear about them because it was before the internet gave you easy access to everything. The two most memeable Ito works dont paint even the slightest picture of his writing stile

part of why Lovecraft was a good horror writer was *because* he was afraid of everything. its the same with Junji Ito: he writes stories about thoughts that scare him, and it translates to causing the readers to feel unsettled as well

Im of the belief that organised religion is just a way for those in power to control people and push them towards their own views, but personal faith has its place as a force to help those struggling with their lives and can lead to them helping others to make themselves feel better.

people DID know this. he got caught doing shady shit so called the election to "let the voters be the judge". wasting everyone's time and money because Binface was the only one who ran against him with any name for themselves

given that the whole point of the armour is that it enhances your physical abilities by constantly draining your blood, the shark teeth are kinda inconsequential.

I say this as a Star Wars fan who likes most of the new Star Wars content (even things widely considered "bad" by the fanbase like Acolyte) they need to slow the fuck down and actually explore more of the universe and put more thought into the stories. Shadow Lord was great, but i cant exactly recommend it to someone who hasnt watch Clone Wars, which is a pretty big ask

could you explain further please? im not exactly caught up with all the marvel news since the only superhero i really care about is Spiderman

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

yeah. From my (mostly) outsider experience the fanbase is 25% trans people, 50% non-trans decent humans, and 25% horrible people who dont understand that 40K is satire. Games Workshop does seem to be fairly vocal about ousting the horrible people, though. when a Nazi had to be allowed to compete in a tournament because of the local laws, they put out a statement that nazi symbolism would be clearly against the rules going forward and that if you were upset about it "you will not be missed"

Even if you dont play the tabletop game, theres other media you can enjoy. Though it also comes with maybe 25% of the fans also being some of the worst people youve ever met (mostly misogynists) so you'll have to be prepared for that if you wanna interact with other fans

Animal childcare is a spectrum ranging from "one baby you REALLY take care of" to "a billion babies you pop out and abandon". Ostriches are very close to the former description. that group of babies is likely from multiple mothers, and he probably has other males there helping to protect them

Ostriches will have communal nests. that could be 2 or 3 mates worth of babies. they might not even be his babies, either

there'ssome entertaining stories about what Vader does between episode 3 & 6. its mostly just hunting jedi that the inquisitors arent enough to deal with or commanding his force against rebels in general. Theres probably more Extended Universe stuff too, but ive never talked to anyone who read the EU that wasnt acting like every book was a masterpiece, and i specifically avoid discussion with people who cant list at least one bad thing about what they love or good things about what they dont

well yeah, they tried a single series from outside that timeframe and the fans kept complaining that it was "the worst thing ever" so they cancelled the second season they had planned. The Acolyte wasnt great, but it was fine enough to continue exploring. The fans with a vocal opinion refuse to accept anything that isnt exactly what they expect. (if they arent just outright racist misogynists complaining that the MC was a woman of colour)

While many astronauts start out from a career in aviation, saying that they arent also scientists is a big disingenuous. lots of them have degrees in one or more scientific fields
