Bored.

The poor cat found a higher quality preferred human, and is now forced to downgrade. This is an absolute disgrace.

Re: La Jument. Fun thing, the only reason that the light house keeper was outside at all, was because he became confused; the scheduled delivery had been postponed because of bad weather. Still, he heard a helicopter and felt he had to go outside and check. So, it was the photographer that put the keeper in that that legendary peril. He managed to run inside and bar the door with basically no seconds at all to spare.

Trump made everything obvious, but the pattern has been there since WWII. Let us thank saint Donald for enlightening us all, and showing us the way forward.

He was hired to do a hit job on the established vaccine, containing the preservative Thimerosal. The competing vaccine, that he had the competing interest in, had another preserving agent

Hell no, and they’ve said as much. Trump is dismantling the US, and they are very happy to see it happen. They love him for this.

Even the otherwise quite capitalist, not very Marxist, quite horrible in many respects, Henry Ford understood this. He paid his workers we’ll enough that they could (maybe with a bit of savings) buy his products. Because for the wheel of economy to turn, someone has to be able to buy your stupid shit.

In my own little city of Malmö, Sweden, I once stopped on a bridge over a central canal in the middle of summer. The water hadn’t moved for days, for once all the water was clear, all the silt had settled to the bottom. Oh, that’s a bike. And another bike. That’s a third… a seventh... I stopped counting at thirty, because it was suddenly meaningless to count at all.

You know all those movies with the hero wielding a minigun? This is why those are somewhat unrealistic.

In my experience with cats, when they start growling instead of hissing, it’s time to back off.

From what I’ve read, the Belgians were fired up, and the Americans seemed demoralized. This stupidity can’t have been fun for the American players.

He was constantly battling the newspapers for space. Space is valuable, you can put ads there! Look at the Sunday strips; they always start with a panel that could be cropped of and still retain the rest of the comic. That’s because some newspapers absolutely refused to give him those extra inches, so he had to adapt.

Camels are being re-exported from Australia to the Arabian countries because there are some good heritage lines in Australia that were bred away in the original lands in the meantime. Australia, the Ark of camelhood.

I’m old enough to remember people warning about how bad things could become if those fascist laws were enacted. Those people were attacked and belittled as naive, stupid and insufficiently patriotic. Those people were absolutely correct in every detail, and here we are.

All licorice is black. If it’s not black, or at least brownish, it’s not licorice.

It was a ridiculously happy time. Naively so, looking at it from what we know today; but at the time everything looked magnificent. The Cold War had ended, and there was nowhere to go but up.
