I had the "good" fortune to have afib during covid. My hospital room was a converted storage room with 4 beds crammed in and my emergency call bell was one of the little smack the top to make it ding metal bells because that's what they had available.

Did it for 10 years and got paid more than day or afternoon shifts. There was a differential on the hourly based on shift.

Right now we work hybrid (2 days - 3 days home). Starting next month we are back in for 4 and that was the compromise. I write code for a living. I do not need to be there to do that.
Whenever I get called something like that I just take it as evidence that I'm doing something right.

My brother and I had a no-noisy-toy truce.
