It's spoiling the fun, but that graph is from Down Detector, https://downdetector.com/status/grindr/map/ , and those are reports submitted by users so they can be manipulated, as can all of us.

Going to Iceland because Spain is hot and crowded. Might be cloudy, but I have never been to Iceland. We saw the totality in Wyoming and in Mexico so I hope to see one again, but I am prepared to miss it.

#4 I have all of the cloud services in my "old man yells at cloud". I update each time we add one.

Was this response written by a Jordan Curve Theory prover?

#15 I hope those people on the iceberg are fine, but person that was recording, get the shot! What were you going to do differently than all the other people doing nothing on that ship to help?

Origin of the symbol ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika#Origin) is thousands of years old. There is a section on the precession of the Big dipper around the north pole but those cultures when Polaris had become the north star. There is also much discussion of the four winds and other orgin theories.

#7 Some of these civilization are older than than Polaris being the North Star (Egyptian for instance) so I am skeptical of your image. (needs citation, oh I will just look it up). Sorry to say but that "design" is probably not usable for the next few hundred years, despite this attempt at rehabilitation.

as always I would put that there is a difference between having $1million and $1B, but whatever. Distract us from fixing the ~3500 people actively making the world a worse place.

"In my ideal society" rigid rules are applied to everyone as if we are all the same and here is my one idea informed only by my experience. Perhaps we can have a bunch of different paths for people and have them be supported whichever way they are followed. dare I say an approach tailored to each individual and there needs and strengths. (sorry to be harsh, but this make everyone do something against their will is the problem.)

Did the friend send you the video or the actual art? This will help us gauge how much emotion you felt.

I like how someone took the Sagan speech, added some video, and of course all mysterious discussions of space now have to have the ethereal Interstellar theme in the background.

Yes we are all morally complicit in a flawed social system, so let's all try to do better. Is my purchase of the iphone even qualitatively equivalent to the ruthlessness of billionaire oligarchs doing everything to maintain their wealth and being so divorced from any friction of being a human being that they do not even understand the suffering they cause? I don't think so.

And some of the cities and suburbs have them as well! Source: Currently in a quiet suburb, looking at my backyard creek and birds as flower blooms fill the air with aroma.
