Here in Dubai, its 8-10 hours a day (depending on the field) and we changed to a 4.5 days (friday half day). In some parts of the country its 4 day work week ( but they work an extra hour). Its been quite good
yeah beating the shit out of kids is Stupid and quite counter-intuitive; speaking as someone who didn't have terrible parent but did try and beat us with whatever they could find, palm, stick, shoes, etc.. That is abusive. However having raised my lil autistic brother and now working in a school. I realized there's a difference between discipline and taking out your anger by beating a child. You can discipline just by changing the tone of your voice.

Thought i should try it at least once in my life, talked to friends who did it, they told to come with them and try it; also about how to not take too much in first go and take it slowly thru the night and knowing yourself and what your limit should be and set them beforehand.
