If you have built your organization such that only one person is capable of handling a certain task, you are either a very small company, or you have utterly failed as a business. Because now you’ve run into the problem of having someone too important to let leave, and so important you cant fire them.

Bout 10 years ago I was just moving back home after working a few solid years to go back to school, and my buddies chose that time to decide it was time we all got into WH40K. I had a few months off before school started and some disposable cash. I dropped about $300 on my first buy for a starter set and all the accessories. 2 months later I was well over $1000 in the hole with a fully painted 2000 pt Necron army.
Unless you are capable of great restraint and only purchase what you have the time to paint. A squad of marines, paints, brushes, file and knife will run you ~$100-$120 for just bare bones stuff. Probably more like $150 once you decide on more colours, basing flock, etc.
