It's definitely a weird little fruit. It's sweet and earthy, not at all bitter or acidic, and it can be used to make a dye. Quite messy.

I did. I wasn't sealing them for long-term but I did bring them to boiling before pouring.
They're native to a slim band across the region in South Texas.

This looks great! If I may, I recommend cleaning up your indentations as they appear to be inconsistent. I would also consider giving the images inlayed with images a little more breathing room.
