a subject I have some knowledge in a was quite off base. He has periphery knowledge on many things, but acts as if he is an expert.

As a non native I agree. The issue is poor leadership both from Federal Gov and selfish band councils. Native people are stuck in the middle
What is your expertise to justify that statement? I am in the industry, and organic systems can be much more efficient than conventional.
Animals aren't adding to antibiotic resistance, promotes pasturing animals to distribute nutrients & avoid run off leading to eutrophication
Doesn't use energy intensive synthetic fertilizer, green/animal manure builds top soil and soil micro-biology, promotes use of polycutlures
You will have more knowledge than most, but I feel you have to immerse yourself in the industry before you are considered an expert.
My family produces organic beef, I am aware of the regulations our certifying body has. What bad treatment loopholes are you referring to?

How so? Because they utilize land not suitable for any other type of production? Because grazing is essential to healthy range land?

Those other areas have shit extraction methods too, it's just harder to go there and demonize them so activists go after the easy targets.
And methane release varies widely formation to formation. Established wells are able to capture the methane at batteries.

Just this time the Saudis aren't cutting their production to keep prices high.
