It is bolted to the toolbox. There are 3 bolts, 2 near the middle of the dog, and 1 a little lower near the bottom of the toolbox. There are wood spacers between dog and the box in order to keep it vertical and allow the lid to open.
The top is just wood glued to the base. The 45degree angles add a little more surface area for the glue. They are also placed where the 1X8s meet. This is the third table like this that I have made. The last one was made 10 years ago. It was also for my daughter, but her husband works from home and is using it. The first one was for my wife a couple of years before that. None of them show any wood separation.
I found the stabilizer at a farm auction. It was not advertised. I do collect aviation stuff. I find it mostly at auctions and Facebook Marketplace. It's all in the garage, my wife decorates the house. I have another Hartzell prop made into a ceiling fan.
I told my daughter that it will be strong enough for three drunk men to dance on. No need for the fifth leg.
Thanks for the compliment. The taxiway sign was a Facebook Marketplace purchase. I'm always looking for aviation do-dads there. I rewired it to 110v with an LED bulb.
Its a horizontal stabilizer from a Sikorsky Seaking helicopter. As far as woodworking, start small, learn from your mistakes.... And burn the ones that you don't want anyone to see.
Actually I have never heard of sliding-dove tails, I will have to look that up. Thanks for the suggestion.
Good eye, that is the horizontal stabilizer from a Sikorsky Seaking helicopter. I collect old airplane parts and models for the garage.
Thanks, I have had plywood dogs in the back of my trucks since 1992. It gives people a reason to smile on the highway. Life is too serious.
Thank you! The table will be going on carpet. I will probably add plastic foot pads before delivery.
I have a similar Pepsi machine in my garage. It's been there for years. I also have a 7-UP bottle machine. The bottle machine is not stocked or turned on unless there is a big cookout or party. But the Pepsi machine runs until it gets below freezing outside. I installed a separate power outlet with its own on/off switch so I can easily shut them down without having to move them to reach the plugs.
That's Lenard, he lives in the garage until October... /gallery/toot-trick-RwU6pdz
Technically, The first letter of the word "because" should have been capitalized since it starts a sentence. Also there should have been a period after your second use of the word "Boxes" because it ends the sentence.
2002 GMC worktruck.
No, just held up by the black cube of foam.

I consider AI music to be like CGI in movies. I know its not real, but it can be entertaining.
"Purple Haze" is there. Also a lot of "The Ramones".
USB sticks hold the music files. I pick the color based on what I want to listen to.
I can't see the road with my glasses, I can't read the display without them... Color coded keys works for me.
Thanks for the input! I may be reprinting the sign tomorrow to say "TOOT for a TRICKLE". I like that version a lot better.
This state has no scheduled vehicle inspections. There are random roadside inspections, but my last one was roughly 20 years ago.

I don't really know. I was given the used rods by a coworker.
Yes, a 37 liter Rolls Royce Griffon engine.
We used to own a VW Beetle. I had this made and it was attached to the inside of the rear window. [img][/img]
I actually had a shirt printed for physical therapy. I also mounted a hobby horse on my walker and named him "Piddle". Whenever I had to get up to pee, I would loudly say, "Let's go piddle!". If you pinched his ear he would make galloping sounds as we left the room. [img][/img]
I agree you can do everything right and still get an infection. I have no hard feelings about any of the medical staff that dealt with me. As far as the original displacements, I told the surgeon, if I bought 100 pieces of Tupperware, one of the lids would probably not fit right. That may have over simplified the situation. But in order for me to be upset I would have to believe that someone was malicious or incompetent. And that was not the case.
Not condescending at all. The mixture of machine gun links and syringes is on purpose... It actually ends near this mixture of a Trumpet, Trombone and Rifle stock. I want you to wonder what the heck it is that you are looking at. [img][/img]
