Scammers have long sold "magic" devices that offer all kinds of dubious benefits and all you have to do is plug it to the wall, or hook it up to your car battery and then "the light turning on means it is working". The people who buy them often will fight very hard to keep pretending the lies they were sold are really true rather than admit they were taken advantage of and lied to.

I've got a permanent rack mount set up and was trying to not have to buy the $130 rack mount stands by cutting down $99 DW3000 stands that are the same hardware with a longer down tube
I don't have calipers to measure, however it's fairly robust tubing, some cymbals can weigh almost 4 pounds, some even more.
