Personally, I think the existence of a Jewish state that not simply tolerated but embraced a diverse ethnic and religious population wouldn't be a bad thing. Where it becomes a bad thing is when the idea of a Jewish state requires the subjugation, displacement or eradication of people within that state who fail to match the preferred ethnic/religious profile.
I'm assuming the crack wasn't simply ground open and welded because welding cast iron is problematic. However, I also assume the crack exists because of stresses in the part. I would be concerned that whatever this method is doesn't really address (and might worsen) the original source of stress. Still, a fixed part is a fixed part - so well done. I would also like to know more about this approach.

I'm SURE they are looking after the best interests of the "average American". That is CERTAINLY how they got the wealth and power they wield today. There is ZERO chance that the US has become a nation run by the super-wealthy for the exclusive benefit of the super-wealthy. I hope the nation finds a way to step back from this disaster.

Killing "bad people" with drones was a slippery slope that has become a landslide. Of course, "Dear Leader" doesn't really care about whether these people really pose a threat. However, we should do something to prevent future drone killings outside a war zone by the US while we're at it.

I don't pretend to be an accomplished marksman - and I realize she is in no real danger - but I'm surprised nobody has commented on the tentative stability of her body position.
As an someone who used to buy into the rhetoric of "what's good for business, is good for the US", I now see that the people in the US is our most important asset. We need politicians who say billionaires and big business need to pay (at least) their fair share - so people who need a leg up get the chance to improve their lives.

Sadly, I think many non-profit entities have become something of a scam. Billionaires create "captive" non-profits they donate to in order to lower their taxes. They then have total control over what that entity spends the money on. Similarly, mega-churches are funded by tax-deductible dollars - so the public is indirectly funding these. I'd prefer a more "purely socialistic" approach where the most worthy causes were directly funded and the option to create designer non-profits didn't exist
Orangs are soo cool. Sadly, when I look in their eyes, I see intelligence. This makes me sad they are in zoos - but people can't value what they don't know.
Clothes, jewelry, music, art body modifications are all a matter of personal preference. Your personal preference is nobody's business but yours. Of course, if you want to cater to somebody else's preferences, that's your business.

I think capitalism values people with money over everyone else. Socialism strives to value everyone and give them a chance to improve their lives. Communism seems a bit like Capitalism - except that nobody other than those in power are valued.

I agree with the comments pointing out the reluctance of power companies and big oil politicians to build out the grid/storage necessary to support renewables. Rather than embracing the future, they work to keep the infrastructure inflexible as a rallying point against a less oil-dependent future.
