Ha oh yeah we say that too. Guess that we use both now that I think about it
'Plug in' means : to put the plug into the socket. I'm from Ireland btw. Didn't realise there were different interpretations of this phrase.
'Plug out' means :to pull the plug from (or 'out of') the socket.
I had to prise the plug from the socket using a screwdriver as they had melted together
They are crooked now as the insulation around the live prong has melted away. (1/2)
